GLB to OBJ: convert to open in any 3D program

Open the GLB and download the OBJ, a format accepted by almost every modeling program. OBJ stores the shape, but not the textures. The conversion happens in the browser, without sending the file.

When this is useful

Edit a web model in a modeling program

OBJ opens in programs such as Blender and many others.

Send the model to someone using old software

OBJ is an old, widely accepted format.

Tips for a good result

  • To keep the textures, convert to GLTF or USDZ instead of OBJ.

What this tool does not do

  • The generated OBJ carries no textures: in the test, the OBJ reopened without texture.
  • Files of up to 400 MB. Everything is done in the browser, without sending the model.
  • The app converts and shows the model: it does not edit the mesh or the textures.

Frequently asked questions

Do I lose the textures?
Yes. The OBJ comes out with only the geometry.
