About WebFaz

WebFaz is a collection of free tools for everyday tasks: editing and compressing PDFs, converting images, audio and video, extracting text from images (OCR), transcribing audio, generating QR Codes, editing videos and much more. The idea is simple: open, use and download the result, with no sign-up, nothing to install and no watermark.

Whenever possible, processing happens in the browser itself, which keeps your files with you and makes everything faster. The few tools that depend on an outside service (such as AI transcription) say so on their own page and on the Privacy page.

How the site sustains itself

WebFaz is free and independently maintained. Hosting and development costs are covered by Google AdSense ads, shown in a separate space, outside the controls and results of the tools. We also use Google Analytics to measure, in aggregate, which tools are most useful and to prioritize improvements.

How the tools are maintained

New tools and improvements are published continuously, and user suggestions guide what comes next. If a tool shows an error or is missing a feature, write through the Contact page. Reported problems are checked and fixed as the maintainer’s time allows.
