How to do it, step by step
- Choose the video (or an image).
- Rotate by 90° or 180° and, if you like, flip.
- Check in the preview and choose the video frame.
- Export.
When this is useful
Fix a video recorded sideways
Rotate 90° to put it in the right position.
Turn an upside-down video right side up
Use the 180° rotation.
Flip the image
Flip horizontally, for example, for a recording made with the front camera.
Tips for a good result
- The Reset button goes back to the original orientation.
- In the Automatic frame, the video follows the rotation: a video rotated 90° goes from horizontal to vertical.
What this tool does not do
- Rotation is in 90° and 180° steps: there is no rotation at free angles.
- Everything happens in the browser: the video is not sent. Large files depend on the device’s memory and capacity.
- The video is rebuilt on export (it is not a direct copy): choose the quality and size under Export.
- MP4 depends on the browser having an H.264 encoder; without it, the app records in real time (it takes as long as the video, with the tab open).
- This page does only this task. Timeline, texts, effects and animations are in the full editor.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I rotate an image?
- Yes. The tool accepts videos and images.
- Does the audio change?
- No. Only the picture is rotated or flipped; the sound comes out the same as the original.
