How to do it, step by step
- Select the PDF to see the page thumbnails.
- Use Rotate all left/right to fix the whole file.
- To rotate only some, use each thumbnail’s rotation button.
- If you make a mistake, Reset takes everything back to the original state. Then click Run and download.
When this is useful
A scanner that scanned sideways
Sheets placed sideways on the scanner become a PDF that is all sideways; one rotation on all the pages fixes it.
Mixed document
A report with some landscape tables and the rest in portrait: rotate only the pages that are out of position.
Photos of documents taken on a phone
After converting the photos to PDF, adjust the ones that came out inverted.
Tips for a good result
- Rotate using the thumbnail to see the result before downloading.
- Combine with Crop PDF if, besides being rotated, the page has too many margins.
What this tool does not do
- It rotates in multiples of 90 degrees; it does not fix small tilts (a scan crooked by a few degrees).
- Rotation does not change the text of scanned PDFs: to search the content, use OCR PDF afterwards.
Frequently asked questions
- Does the PDF quality change when rotating?
- No. The page just receives a new orientation, with no recompression of the content.
- Can I rotate just one page?
- Yes. Each thumbnail has its own rotation button.
