How to do it, step by step
- Choose the language and check the time left today.
- Select the audio file or the meeting video.
- Follow the “Transcribing part X of Y” notice.
- When it finishes, review the text and use Copy.
When this is useful
Transcribe a whole meeting
Produce the minutes from the text, with the main points.
Transcribe a class or talk

Tips for a good result
- If the file goes past 30 minutes, cut it into parts beforehand (for example, in WebFaz Audio Extractor, with “Trim clip”).
- The daily counter adds up the time of each upload: a 20-minute audio leaves 10 for the rest of the day.
What this tool does not do
- Transcription needs the internet: the audio is sent to an AI service (Groq) to be processed. WebFaz does not store the audio.
- The limit is 30 minutes of audio per upload and 30 minutes per day in this browser; the app shows how much is left.
- The AI can make mistakes with names, numbers and technical terms, and recordings with noise or overlapping voices worsen the result: review the text.
- If some part fails, the text of the others appears, and the app warns that some parts could not be transcribed.
- Splitting into 30-second parts may cut a sentence in half and affect reading at that point.
Frequently asked questions
- Why does the text appear little by little?
- Large files are sent in 30-second parts, one at a time, and each part appears when it is ready.
- Does the daily limit apply to everyone?
- It is a counter for this browser, which resets at midnight. Besides it, the service has a per-network usage limit.
