How to do it, step by step
- Open or drag the .glb file.
- Check the model and the textures in the scene.
- Click Convert and download.
- Open the USDZ on your iPhone or iPad to check.
When this is useful
Take a web model to the iPhone
USDZ is the format Apple devices use for AR.
Share a model with people who use Apple devices
A single file, with the textures inside.
Tips for a good result
- The GLB’s textures are carried into the USDZ.
- Check the result by opening the file on your device before sending.
What this tool does not do
- The app generates the USDZ file and reopens it here with the textures, but opening on Apple devices depends on your iPhone or iPad: check the result there.
- GLB animations may not carry over to the USDZ.
- Files of up to 400 MB. Everything is done in the browser, without sending the model.
- The app converts and shows the model: it does not edit the mesh or the textures.
Frequently asked questions
- Are the textures kept?
- Yes. In the test, the generated USDZ reopened with the texture.
- Does it work on the iPhone?
- The format is Apple’s for AR, but we did not test on Apple devices. Open it on yours and check.
