USDZ to GLB: open Apple models anywhere

GLB is the most widely used 3D model format on the web and on Android, and it carries the textures inside the same file. Open the USDZ and download the GLB, with the geometry and textures. The conversion happens in the browser, without sending the file.

Web 3D viewers use GLB.

Open the model in a 3D program

Modeling programs and engines accept GLB.

Tips for a good result

  • The USDZ’s textures are carried into the GLB.
  • To print, use the USDZ to STL page.

What this tool does not do

  • Advanced USDZ features (such as animations and complex materials) may not be reproduced on reading.
  • Files of up to 400 MB. Everything is done in the browser, without sending the model.
  • The app converts and shows the model: it does not edit the mesh or the textures.

Frequently asked questions

Are the textures kept?
Yes. In the test, the USDZ’s texture appears in the generated GLB.
Does the mesh change?
No. The triangle count was the same in the tests.
