HEIC to JPG: convert iPhone photos to open anywhere

The iPhone saves photos as HEIC, which Windows, many Android phones, emails and websites cannot open or do not accept. Drop your HEIC or HEIF photos here and download ordinary JPG. The conversion happens in your browser: the photos are not sent to any server.

Drag and drop your images here

or click to select from your computer

Up to 50 images · 200 MB per queue

How to do it, step by step

  1. Select the HEIC or HEIF photos (up to 50 at a time) or drag them onto the dashed area.
  2. Adjust the Quality if you like (90% is enough for most photos).
  3. Click Convert all. Large photos may take a few seconds each.
  4. Download them one by one or use Download ZIP to get them all at once.

When this is useful

Attach photos to a form or a corporate email

Company and government portals often reject HEIC; JPG gets through any of them.

Open iPhone photos on Windows

Without installing a video extension or extra program, you convert and open them on the computer right away.

Send to people who do not use an iPhone

It avoids the “I can’t open this photo” when sending an album to family or clients.

Tips for a good result

  • You can convert several photos at once: the app downloads everything in a ZIP.
  • After converting, the file comes out without the original photo’s data (date, camera and location), which also helps you share with more privacy.
  • If you need transparency or lossless quality, convert to PNG instead of JPG.

What this tool does not do

  • Photos above 40 megapixels or with more than 16,384 pixels per side are rejected.
  • Original color profiles and HDR are not preserved in the JPG.
  • Each queue accepts up to 50 photos and 200 MB; beyond that, convert in batches.

Frequently asked questions

Are my photos stored on any server?
No. The HEIC decoding and the JPG writing happen in your browser’s memory.
Why does the first photo take a bit longer?
When the browser cannot open HEIC on its own, the app loads its own decoder.
Is the JPG quality the same as the photo’s?
JPG uses lossy compression. At 90% quality the difference is usually imperceptible; raise it to 100% if you want the maximum.
