How to do it, step by step
- Select the video and use the player to find the start and end of the clip.
- Fill in Start and End in hh:mm:ss format.
- Click Extract audio.
- Listen in the player and download the MP3 with only that clip.
When this is useful
Take a song or a speech from a long video
Only the chosen clip becomes a file.
Create a ringtone or an alert
Cut out the piece of sound and use it as an audio file.
Tips for a good result
- The End field already comes with the video’s duration; adjust only what you need.
- In the test, the clip from 00:00:01 to 00:00:03 produced a 2-second audio.
What this tool does not do
- The cut uses whole hours, minutes and seconds (hh:mm:ss): there is no tenth-of-a-second precision.
- The app cuts a single clip at a time and has no timeline with sound waves.
- MP3 is a lossy format: the quality never exceeds that of the audio that was in the video.
- One video at a time, and the extraction depends on the device’s memory: very large videos may fail.
- The video must have an audio track; if it does not, the app warns you.
- The new file carries the “WebFaz.com” credit in the metadata (comment and artist).
Frequently asked questions
- Does the end have to be after the start?
- Yes. If the end is equal to or less than the start, the app warns that the time is invalid.
- Can I cut more than one clip?
- Not in a single extraction. Repeat the process for each clip.
