How to do it, step by step
- Open or drag the subtitle file.
- If you want the times, tick “Include time codes” in the Adjust timing tab.
- Check the script in the Output box.
- Click Download Script or Copy result.
When this is useful
Review a video’s lines one by one
Each line has a number, which makes it easier to comment and point out corrections.
Plan a video edit
With the times, you can locate each line on the timeline.
Tips for a good result
- The downloaded file ends in “-script.txt”.
- With the times, each block shows the start and end of the line.
What this tool does not do
- The script does not identify who is speaking.
- Style tags are removed.
- Subtitle files of up to 5 MB; ZIP of up to 256 MB; video of up to 2 GB.
- Everything happens in the browser: the file is not sent. The only exception is the optional translation, which sends only the text of the lines.
Frequently asked questions
- What is the difference from clean text?
- Clean text joins the lines; the script separates each line into a numbered block, with times if you like.
