Translate subtitles into another language, keeping the times

Open a subtitle file, choose the output language and click Translate subtitle. The times and the original subtitles stay as they are: only the text of the lines is translated, by AI. This is the only part of the app that uses the internet.

Open or drag a subtitle, ZIP or videoSubtitles up to 5 MB · ZIP up to 256 MB · MP4/MOV and MKV/WebM up to 2 GB

Files stay on your device.

Input

JSON: array of objects with start and end in seconds and text with the line. TXT and Markdown: each non-empty line becomes a block.

Output

Translate into another language

Choose the output language and click Translate subtitle. The times and the division of the lines are preserved.

Optional AI translation: only the text of the lines is sent to Groq through the WebFaz server when you click Translate subtitle. The video and the ZIP are not sent. Up to 100 thousand characters per translation; style markup is removed. Review the translation before publishing.

Continue in the video editor or the text editor.

Tips for a good result

  • The downloaded file carries the language code in its name, for example class-en.srt.
  • You can fix the translation in the review tab before downloading, without changing the original input.
  • Languages: Portuguese, English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean and Chinese.

What this tool does not do

  • Only the text of the lines is sent to an AI service (Groq) through the WebFaz server; the video, the ZIP and the whole file are not sent.
  • Up to 100 thousand characters per translation: larger subtitle files should be split.
  • AI translation can make mistakes: review before using.
  • Italics and bold of the lines do not carry over to the translation: the translated text comes out without tags.
  • It needs the internet only to translate.
