SVG to PDF: turn a vector drawing into a PDF

Select an SVG file and download a one-page PDF, at the size of the drawing. Useful to send a logo, a diagram or an illustration to someone who cannot open SVG. The drawing goes into the PDF as a high-resolution image, and the conversion happens in the browser.

When this is useful

Send a logo or illustration as a PDF

The PDF opens on any device and program.

Attach a diagram to a document

Many forms and systems accept PDF, but not SVG.

Tips for a good result

  • Set the width and height (or viewBox) in the SVG: the PDF page follows the size of the drawing.
  • For a common image file (PNG), use WebFaz Image Converter.

What this tool does not do

  • The drawing becomes an image inside the PDF: it does not stay vector, and the text is not selectable.
  • External images and fonts referenced inside the SVG may not appear.
  • Limit of 10 MB; very large drawings are rejected.

Frequently asked questions

Does the PDF stay sharp when zoomed in?
The drawing is written in high resolution (up to 3000 pixels on the longer side), but it is not vector: at very large magnifications the pixels show.
Is the background transparent?
The drawing keeps its transparency over the PDF’s white page.
